Admittedly, getting me to wear a dress is a struggle, but when I started working for Pyne & Smith I began to wear dresses almost everyday. One battle I constantly encountered while living in England was wearing a dress in unpredictable weather. Hot and sunny one second, rain blowing from all directions the next. I learned all the tricks, layer up and always have a jacket for a makeshift umbrella (especially after you’ve broken/lost your last ten), own as many tights as you do underwear, and always wear boots (wet shoes are miserable to trudge around in). Many of these tricks have stayed with me and still influence my everyday style.
I’ve set up this mini visual style guide to give some ideas on how to wear your P&S dress with some capsule items you may already have in your closet. If not, I have included some of the products (or similar products) below and where you can get them. You can also have a look at our Pinterest board for more styling ideas!
This week I’m wearing the No. 29 (aka Swingy). This is the most fun dress to wear. Every time I wear it I can’t help but twirl and skip like a madwoman every other second.
