If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ll have seen some pics of my trip back home to the UK. I grew up in Devon, England (it’s in the south west part of England) lots of pretty rolling hills, farms and countryside, so it’s always magical to come back in the summer time and enjoy country life . My favorite days here are time spent outside, smelling wild honeysuckle and watching the bumblebee’s pollinate flowers, splashing in the river, lots of walks past old pretty cottages, and maybe gobbling down a cream tea (a very yummy English tea with scones, clotted cream and jam) or some other delightful cake-y item and then into the city for a pop of history and taking in the beautiful old parts of the town. Exeter is our local city, and it has some really beautiful old parts which we love to walk around and visit. I’m very partial to buying a tea towel or two while back, a ceramic mug and I always try to do a bit of thrift store shopping! Ending the day with a drink at our favorite pub is pretty magical!
Being able to shoot some pictures for the upcoming collection is imperative to me, so much of the Pyne & Smith aesthetic and design process is because of my European heritage, so creating images back here feels a necessary piece of my work, as well as one of my favourite ways to be creative! Here are some of my images from our trip.
