Our No. 34 in Black is our favourite all around wear throughout summer. It’s the perfect little black dress with soft, breathable linen that is incredibly versatile; honestly, the possibilities are endless! It’s sleek and flattering, with an optional waist tie so you can wear it fitted or loose. It works as both an effortless statement piece or a blank canvas to be layered! And, it’s ideal for transitioning from day to night.
Ever had one of those spontaneous days where you leave the house in the morning uncertain as to when you will be back? This dress was made for those days! It’s my go-to dress when I know I’m going to be out meeting friends for lunch, strolling the city, shopping, going for dinner in that random restaurant you like the look of and going to the bar down the road to see some impromptu live music. So instead of running home in between it all for that split second to have a mini wardrobe crisis, we have styled up a few perfect outfits so you can keep those sociable days blissful.
If a minimal effort look is what you’re going for, we suggest wearing the No. 34 in Black as a statement piece. Add a delicate necklace or your favourite earrings, sunglasses and sandals for a hot summer day, you can also swap the sandals for black lace boots if you’re feeling a bit punk. Bring a lightweight trench coat or a boxy jacket to transition for the evening. For a more urban approach, wear the No. 34 in Black with white sneakers and a black leather jacket.
If you are feeling confident and need an eye-catching outfit, try the No. 34 in Black with that bold jacket (try that colorful printed one in your closet that is difficult to find an outfit for, you know the one!), add some black boots, a statement sock and a mismatched bag to pull together an effortless and eccentric look. If you somehow have the perfect mismatched set to pull this off, rejoice! If it’s not quite there, instead wear the No. 34 in Black and simply add some red boots (or maroon if you prefer less contrast), and there, a strikingly beautiful outfit with little fuss.
Layer, layer, layer it! No. 34 in Black is by far our easiest and most fun dress to layer up. Add as many layers as you want without worry. Try it over a turtleneck with statement earrings and boots (or heeled boots for an easy evening transition). Style it over a stripe top with leather mules. In the cooler months add even more layers with a knitted pullover to throw on top with black lace boots and even an oversized coat.
